Speech and Hearing Assessment Process

Doctors first recommend necessary hearing tests and speech therapy for children with hearing impairment. Following this, a speech therapist evaluates each child to determine the nature and severity of the communication difficulty. Based on the assessment findings, children are referred either to the Hearing Impaired School or to the Autism Department, as appropriate.

After admission to the school, if individual speech therapy sessions are required, the speech therapist refers the child to the Speech Therapy Department. Speech therapy sessions are then conducted one or two days per week, depending on the specific needs and progress of the child.
