Children, accompanied by their parents, visit the school following the recommendations of an ENT specialist. They participate in audiometry and ear mold sessions and receive hearing aids. Upon arrival at the school, the child’s case history is recorded in the presence of the parents.
For children under 3 years of age:
Parents attend a guidance class to learn how to support their child at home. If parents are unable to attend, they receive counseling on topics such as fitting the hearing aid, maintaining the device, and effective communication strategies with the child.
For children aged 3 years and above:
Children are admitted to the school and placed in a classroom under the supervision of a class teacher. The teacher provides language and speech training using the oral-auditory system. To ensure holistic development, the following activities are conducted:
1. Art Therapy: Drawing and coloring
2. Music Therapy: Singing, dancing, rhymes, and poems
3. Game Therapy: Various physical and play activities to enhance motor and cognitive skills
After completing the program, children with hearing impairment receive certification and are admitted to mainstream schools, allowing them to live and learn like other children.
Special provisions for DSL (Deaf with Speech and Language) children:
1. Occupational Therapy
2. Behavior Therapy
3. Speech Therapy
Many children have benefited from the services of Rosie Flower Integrated School for Hearing Impaired Children, and a significant number of them are now pursuing education in schools, colleges, and universities, as well as working in various professional fields.
